He advertised for steam cleaners on Marktplaats, but in the meantime a man from Roosendaal had a gigantic weapon arsenal. He ran into the lamp last May when the police did a house search on a caravan camp where he lives. At his arrest, the 29-year-old man had a charged firearm in his jacket pocket. Two weeks ago the arms hobbyist had to come on the mat; This Friday, the court in Breda imposed him 42 months in jail.

With this punishment, from which the custody also goes away, the man got rid of it. In fact, the collection found with him was reason enough to put him under lock and key for five to six years. But the court can agree with the process agreements that the weapon owner had made with the Public Prosecution Service. Those two parties had agreed 42 months in jail.

The judge accepted this because the lawsuit, two weeks ago, went energetically. The agreement is also prevented. The man has, so to speak, contributed to ‘more efficient justice’: “This gives time savings and saves valuable session capacity.”

Furthermore, with the mild position of the judge, the man who now convicted does not have a relevant criminal record and that he supported his mother in the care of his person in need of help.

Automatic weapons
There is no doubt that the man had a large amount of different weapons in his house, including some automatic, but also hail and bullet rifles, revolvers, pistols and 3D printed guns and ammunition. Weapons and fittings, such as pattern warehouses, and more than 1600 bullets and other ammunition, were also seized.

The court speaks of an undesirable and risky situation, because the possession of weapons can lead to crimes with fatal outcome or serious injuries. The court found it extra burdensome that a charged firearm was in the man’s coat when he was arrested.

The police, and a fellow townman of almost sixty, tracked on the track thanks to advertisements on Marktplaats. On this site the two offered steam cleaners, which turned out to be stolen. Money was also found during the invasion of May, the police reported. But that is not discussed in the ruling.

The other suspect did not have to appear in court. According to the Public Prosecution Service, he was only guilty of healing the steam cleaners. There was too little evidence for involvement in the possession of weapons. The steam cleaners ended up again with the actual owner.
