A candidate who is on the list for Forum for Democracy in the Provincial Council elections has threatened several people on social media, including ministers Sigrid Kaag and Hugo de Jonge. “You’re not going to sleep well in the near future. Trust me, it’s really your turn!”
It is the third time that a Brabant politician of the Forum for Democracy has been discredited. In Helmond, a council member of Forum resigned earlier, after it appeared that he compared Mark Rutte and Hugo de Jonge to Nazi leaders on social media.
This time it concerns the number 12 on the list of Forum for Democracy for the Provincial Council, Wim Kreté from Drunen.
Forumland
Forum for Democracy announced their list for the elections on Tuesday evening. It starts with well-known names: party leader is Jozef Minkels, also chairman of the Forum in Meierijstad. Then comes Joris van den Oetelaar (currently chair of the parliamentary party in the Provincial Council). FvD members from other Brabant municipalities are also on the list.
Also on the list: Laurens Lindeman from Den Bosch. He is responsible for the Forum app, with which FvD is working on ‘Forumland’, a ‘parallel society’ where FvD members and companies that sympathize with the party could come into contact with each other.
‘Drawn from bench by marines’
Wim Kreté is an unknown name among the group. But on Twitter he has been insulting, suspecting and threatening various national politicians for months.
For example, he writes to Minister Hugo de Jonge about the corona vaccines: “You know that we are aware of you with your experimental gene therapy. You will not sleep well in the near future. (…) Believe me you are really turn!!!!!” He also writes “Isn’t it about time that #hugodejonge was dragged from his bench by some marines and then locked up while waiting for the tribunal?”
‘dirty dirty monster’
Minister Sigrid Kaag must also suffer. “Kaag, how deep you will fall later, when the population wakes up. (…) You live in spare time, Sigrid for a moment!”, Kreté wrote three months ago. And: “Dirty dirty monster, you will be second on the scaffold after Rutte. You will no longer be able to escape your deserved punishment. The people will not shed a tear for you, that’s assured!” Kreté appoints her a ‘front row seat at the Nuremberg Tribunal 2.0’ the prospect.
About PvdA party leader Attje Kuiken, Kreté reports several times that he sometimes encounters her in Den Bosch. “Say Attje, when I meet you next time in the Korte Putstraat in Den Bosch I will explain to you what your contribution has been in this mess created by the Rutte Cabinet!!”, he writes. He also tells his followers that Kuiken comes from Den Bosch, but is not a ‘real Bosschenaar’.
Nazi kingpins
It is not the first time that a Brabant FvD politician has attracted attention on social media. Jan van Eerd, number 2 for the municipal elections in Eindhoven, threatened Tunahan Kuzu from DENK on Twitter. Manfred Smol eventually had to give up his place on the Helmond city council when it became clear that he compared Mark Rutte and Hugo de Jonge to Nazi leaders.
No one from Forum for Democracy was available for comment.
