Fortuna purchase Yilmaz has a work permit and can make his debut against Ajax | NOW

Burak Yilmaz can make his official debut for Fortuna Sittard next Saturday in the Eredivisie home game with Ajax. The Limburgers report that the Turkish attacker has received his work permit.

Midfielder Dogan Erdogan, who was taken over from Gaziantep, is also available immediately, after the paperwork has also been completed. The duo immediately joins the selection and can take action on Saturday in the practice match against VVV-Venlo.

The 37-year-old Yilmaz played at the Turkish top clubs Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray and had a large share in the French league title of Lille OSC in the 2020/2021 season with sixteen league goals. He was allowed to leave the club on a free transfer this summer after his contract had expired.

Yilmaz played 77 caps for the Turkish national team, in which he scored 31 times. He made three of them last year in the World Cup qualifier against the Orange, which Turkey won 4-2. In the qualification for the European Championship 2016, he scored in both Turkey and Amsterdam against the Netherlands.
