After promotion, VfL Osnabrück continues to prepare for the 2nd Bundesliga. Luca Raimund comes to Bremer Brücke from relegated Fortuna Düsseldorf. The attacker still had a contract in Düsseldorf until 2028, but after the drop to the 3rd league he moved on a free transfer. For Fortuna, Böblinger, who moved from Stuttgart in 2025, made 15 appearances over 519 minutes in the lower house (one goal). The left-footed player is the fifth new signing in Osnabrück.

Director of Football Joe Enochs explained: “We are very happy that with Luca we were able to win a player who is in great demand on the market for VfL. Luca brings a lot of speed, has an athletic build, an impressive height and enormous development ability. He can be used flexibly on both the right and left rails as well as behind the strikers.”

Raimund himself said: “I had a really good exchange in which Joe, Latte (technical director Daniel Latkowski; editor) and Timo (coach Schultz) convinced me of VfL. They put a lot of effort into me, which absolutely confirmed my decision to move. I’m very excited about the team and the Bremer Brücke. They know the atmosphere, the proximity to the fans and the special energy of the stadium. I’m all the more looking forward to experiencing it myself.”
