Ralf Schumacher’s son David returns to Formula 3 this weekend at Imola. As announced by the Charouz Racing team, the 20-year-old will replace Briton Ayrton Simmons. Reasons were not given.
David Schumacher is actually driving in the DTM this year in a Mercedes AMG for the Winward racing team. In Formula 3, the racing driver had already started for Charouz in 2020, and then for Trident in 2021.
In David Beckmann, a German is also used by the Charouz Racing Formula 2 team in Italy. The 21-year-old replaces Cem Bölükbasi from Turkey, who was injured after an accident.
