Formula 1 | Superstars from golf, NFL, boxing and football invest in F1 racing team

The Alpine Formula 1 racing team announced on Tuesday that six absolute sports superstars were investing in the team. These include illustrious personalities from the NFL, a top golfer, an English boxing giant and two world-class footballers.

Specifically, the four-time golf major winner Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland, the former Spanish soccer world champion Juan Mata, the English national player Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool FC) as well as the two-time boxing world champion Anthony Joshua and the two NFL superstars Patrick Mahomes are opening and Travis Kelce their bags.

“I have always had a passion for all sports. The opportunity to join an investor group with Travis along with Otro Capital [Kelce, d.Red.] “I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to lead Alpine F1,” Mahomes is quoted as saying on “formula1.com”.

“I am thrilled to be leading a group of investors and joining forces with Patrick and the team at Otro Capital on this exciting project with Alpine F1,” added Kelce. “Our shared passion for excellence and innovation forms the cornerstone of this partnership.”

The goal is “to be able to contribute to a sport that requires precision, teamwork and a tireless pursuit of success. I’m looking forward to this new chapter and can’t wait to see what we will achieve together,” said the 34-year-old tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs continues.

Boxing star is looking forward to a “journey” with the Formula 1 team

Otro bought into the team in June together with two other investment companies for 200 million euros. One of the other two companies is owned by two Hollywood actors, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

“The team’s legacy, mixed with the global growth of Formula 1 as a sport and brand, made this a very serious matter. I look forward to starting this journey with Otro and a great group of investors and hope to support the team along with it “To help you realize your full potential,” says Joshua in the statement.

The F1 racing team based in France is currently only in sixth place in the fight for the team world championship in the premier class of motorsport. This should change with the new capital and, above all, the international appeal.
