New cars with many more standard parts, frozen engine regulations, a budget cap and the brake on development: these are the main irons in the Formula 1 fire to make the premier class more exciting. The ‘product’ must therefore be future-proof. But then all the changes made should work. 2022 will therefore be a crucial year for the highest category of motorsport.
