Formula 1 racing team Mercedes has presented official pictures of the new car for the coming 2025 season.
The new Formula 1 season is approaching huge steps. Many fans were particularly excited to see what the new Mercedes looks like. The team now released fresh photos of the W16 on Monday.
Mercedes had already shown his paintwork at the much-noticed launch event in London last week. For this, an old model had to serve. Now pictures show what the W16 by George Russell and Hamilton successor Andrea Kimi Antonelli will look like.
According to the F1 team, the W16 builds on the experience of the team with the predecessor model, but was fundamentally revised under this regulations before last season.
“Our main focus was on the improvement of the W15 livelihood behavior in slow curves and on the unbalancing of the tire temperatures, which made the car unpredictable from training to training,” said technology director James Allison.
The team said that it had changed “every aerodynamic surface” of the car for 2025 and designed a new front -wheel suspension.
Mercedes: “New exciting era”
“We are satisfied with our progress about the winter and can hardly wait to find out where we are compared to the others,” said Allison.
“There will be a significant change this year,” said Mercedes pilot George Russell. “To be honest, let’s say that we have uncovered and solved a problem every year, and that a new one was created.
“We were probably much more disciplined for every change that we made, and more thoroughly than ever in terms of the operation of the simulator, just to make sure we don’t fall into a new trap,” said Russell.

Mercedes has planned a film day with the W16 at Bahrain International Circuit for Tuesday. The test drives for the new season start on February 26.
