Former world champion Haass becomes a coach at relegated Lübbecke

The former handball world champion Michael Haass is the new coach of the Bundesliga relegated TuS N-Lübbecke. According to the club, the 38-year-old signed a contract until June 30, 2024.

Haas played in the Bundesliga for TUSEM Essen, Rhein-Neckar Löwen, SC Magdeburg and Frisch Auf Göppingen, among others, and won three European cups. He made 120 international appearances for the national team and became world champion in his own country in 2007, even if he had the least playing time of all field players.
