Former Telstar player Jerdy Schouten does not make Orange debut against Belgium

It is impossible that Jerdy Schouten will make his debut in the Dutch national team tonight. The former Telstar player is in the stands in Brussels, just like AZ player Bruno Martins Indi. The Orange squad starts there in the group stage of the Nations League against Belgium.

Schouten, who currently plays football at Bologna, is in the Orange squad for the first time. For Martins Indi it could have been his first international match since June 2017. He may still have chances to make minutes in the Nations League against Wales (two matches) and Poland. Competitor and captain Virgil van Dijk is allowed to go on holiday after the duel with Belgium.

There are four Ajax players in the base tonight. Van Gaal starts with Daley Blind, Jurriën Timber, Davy Klaassen and Steven Berghuis. Former Ajax players Jasper Cillessen and Frenkie de Jong are also at the kick-off, just like Ajax target Steven Bergwijn

The kick-off in the King Baudouin Stadium is at 8.45 pm.
