Former Surinamese president Desi Bouterse has died from “complication of liver failure due to severe liver fibrosis, caused by chronic alcohol use”. This is evident from the autopsy report of the medical examiner, the Surinamese Public Prosecution Service (OM) reported in a press release on Saturday.
