The changes in the Galeria shopping team continue.
After the departure of the shopping manager Alexa Deters and the appointment of her successor Antonio Negro to the Chief Procurement Officer, there is now a further change in the Buying team from Galeria. Nico Heinemann was appointed to the role of Director Buying for Fashion Men/Womenswear, as he announced on Wednesday evening at the LinkedIn career network.
Heinemann has been working in his new position since September 1. He succeeds Sabine Zollikofer, who, according to her LinkedIn profile, worked for over seven years in shopping at Galeria. In his article, Heinemann thanked her for her great commitment and excellent work, which had now created the basis for a successful continuation and further development.
Former Managing Director of KaDeWe changes to Galeria
Heinemann is no stranger to Galeria. Most recently, he worked as the managing director of the Berlin store on Alexanderplatz. From there he now moves to the newly occupied headquarters of the department store group in Düsseldorf.
He laid the foundation for his career at Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf, where he worked as a commercial director in the area of purchasing and sales from 1994 to 2015. He then moved to Berlin and took over the position of Managing Director in KaDeWe, one of the most famous department stores in Germany from 2015 to 2019. After that, he was active as an associate partner at the Better Decisions Group in Berlin for half a year before taking over the management of the Steffl Department Store in Vienna in January 2020, which he held until May 2023.
