Former PSV player Mo Ihattaren arrested again, police also search his house

Footballer Mohamed Ihattaren was arrested in Amsterdam on Sunday. In addition, his house in Vleuten was searched on Monday morning. Sources report this to the NOS. The arrest would have nothing to do with his previous arrest for threats in November.

It is not yet entirely clear what the former PSV player has been arrested for. According to the NOS would it have to do with ‘a conflict in the relational sphere’. The police have so far only confirmed that a 21-year-old man from Utrecht has been arrested.

The new arrest is yet another bad news about the footballer, who broke through at a young age in Eindhoven. After problems with the then trainer Roger Schmidt, the talent left for Juventus, where he also quickly ended up on the sidelines.

Persistent malaise
The team from Turin then rented Ihattaren to Ajax. There he seemed to have found the fun in football again, until he was suddenly removed from the selection again. Due to alleged threats from the criminal world, he even disappeared completely from the picture.

After Ajax announced that it would not continue with Ihattaren, the footballer again received negative news. He was already arrested in November because he was allegedly involved in a threat. So now comes the new arrest. The footballer is still in custody and will be questioned on Monday.
