Former police officer arrested for money laundering more than 4 million euros | Inland

LAND LAKE – The police and the FIOD have arrested a 32-year-old man from Landsmeer on suspicion of moving a large amount of criminal money. He would have laundered 4.2 million euros in a year. He is also suspected of drug trafficking. The man is being held for questioning, a spokesman said Friday. The suspect was trained as a police officer, but was previously fired for violating his professional secrecy.
