Former MKE Ankaragücü Club President Faruk Koca, who attacked referee Halil Umut Meler after the MKE Ankaragücü-Çaykur Rizespor match in the Super League, was released upon the objection of his lawyers.
According to the information received, the lawyers of Koca, who is in prison for “intentionally injuring a person in a way that would cause a bone fracture in the sports field due to his public duty”, “threat” and “violation of the Law on the Prevention of Violence and Disorder in Sports”, objected to the detention of their client.
Evaluating the objection, the Ankara Western High Criminal Court on Duty ruled that Koca be released under judicial control.
It was learned that Koca will be released from prison in the evening.
