The 42-year-old Alexandersson was thrown out by Kortrijk last month after a series of disappointing results. At the Kerels he succeeded Joseph Akpala in January last year, who had taken over on an interim basis from the dismissed Glen De Boeck.
He managed to keep KVK in the highest division through the relegation play-offs and a jump-off against 1B club Lommel. He was succeeded in the Guldenspoorstadion by Yves Vanderhaeghe.
