“I was a professional in Germany for 12 years. I know from my own youth that these types of training are very educational and cool. To hear from someone who has been somewhere where you want to be clinic to get,” says Boomhouwer.

“I thought it would be a lot of fun to participate and I didn’t want to spend the whole holiday at home either”

He gives tips and tricks with enthusiasm. Clarijs knows better than anyone what it takes to reach the top. “You see the Oranje matches on TV. That’s very cool, but you don’t see that they train 300 days a year. There are also many tough aspects to being a professional and you have to realize that,” says Clarijs.

NH Sport was present in Aalsmeer on Saturday afternoon and spent the entire afternoon with Jeffrey Boomhouwer. That resulted in the video report above.
