The auction house “Goldin Auctions” has had a special Haaland jersey on offer in the past few days. The jersey was worn by the Manchester City superstar in a 2017 European Under-19 Championship qualifier.
Jersey auction brings insane amount
After a total of 22 bids, the auction ended on Sunday. The jersey fetched a final price of an incredible £19,200 (equivalent to almost €22,000), according to the website of “Goldin Auctions“.
In 2017, Haaland was only known to absolute football experts. In that year, the 22-year-old moved from Bryne FK to Molde FK in Norway. Via Salzburg, the center forward finally landed at Borussia Dortmund in 2020, where he made his final breakthrough.
Haaland via BVB to a world-class player
Haaland scored 86 goals in 89 competitive games for BVB. In the summer of 2022, the Norwegian then moved on to Manchester City. Since then, the Scandinavian has conquered the Premier League and scored every week.
Haaland is now one of the biggest stars in international football, finishing tenth at the Ballon d’Or.
Most recently, the former BVB professional saved Manchester City against FC Fulham in the Premier League when he scored the winning goal for the reigning English champions in injury time.
