The Rolling Stones have announced the release of their new album: “Foreign Tongues” will be released on July 10, 2026. On the band’s product page you can not only pre-order various bundles (vinyl, CD, tote bag – everything), but also read the press release for the new record:
‘Foreign Tongues’ was created in less than a month at Metropolis Studios in West London, where Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood once again collaborated with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt. The result is a dynamic and forward-thinking album that captures the band’s distinctive sound while breaking new sonic and lyrical paths, further cementing their unparalleled legacy.”
Guests on “Foreign Tongues”
The established forces worked on “Foreign Tongues” – touring musicians like their new old producer: “The album impresses with outstanding performances from Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood as well as their most important contributors, including Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford and Steve Jordan.”
The last recordings of their late drummer can also be heard: “It also contains a guest appearance from Charlie Watts, which was captured during one of his last recording sessions before his death in 2021.”
And: Even two very specific Smiths that you wouldn’t have expected are represented on “Foreign Tongues”: “Further contributions come from an impressive list of guest artists, including Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith from The Cure and Chad Smith from the “Red Hot Chili Peppers.”
What’s still missing is a tracklist – this could perhaps show which guest musician can be heard on which song. Will be given later.
