If Ukraine or Western countries stage provocations in the Donbass against Russian citizens, Russia will not take it with patience. This was stated by the head of the Russian delegation at the talks in Vienna on military security and arms control Konstantin Gavrilov in broadcast YouTube channel “Insulating tape Live”.

“Everything was clearly clarified, and said and warned. We will not tolerate when our citizens are attacked <...> It is only dogs yapping. He bites the wolf and that’s it,” the diplomat said.

According to him, Kiev and Western countries are trying to “cover up possible provocations” from Ukraine, accusing Russia of intending to invade. “As the chief of the general staff said, Russia can respond to all provocations <...> and will not allow its citizens to be offended, let alone killed,” Gavrilov said.

Britain announced Moscow’s plan to establish a pro-Russian government in Kiev

This is not the first time the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that they are expecting provocations from Western countries and Ukraine. So, on January 22, a representative of the department, Maria Zakharova, announced the risk of information and military provocations carried out by Washington and Kiev. “It will happen to them, especially since there is rich experience,” she suggested. At the end of December last year, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke about the suspicion of Western countries in plans to start a “little war” in Ukraine.
