Forecaster reported record high snowdrifts in Krasnodar

The snow cover height in Krasnodar reached 41 cm and set a new absolute height record. About it informed Evgeny Tishkovets, Leading Specialist of the Phobos Center, on Instagram.

“In Kranodar, a snow cover record has been set in the entire history of meteorological observations – 41 cm (the previous maximum was 40 cm),” Tishkovets wrote.

Over the past day, 24 mm of precipitation fell in Krasnodar, the weatherman said. Abnormal snowfalls also took place in other settlements of the Krasnodar Territory: 35 mm of snow fell on Krasnaya Polyana, 57 mm in Goryachiy Klyuch, 66 mm in Tuapse, 71 mm in Solokhaul, 81 mm in Kichmai, 90 mm in Magri, and 109 mm in Gorny , said Tishkovets.

According to the forecaster, unprecedented snowdrifts appeared on the entire Black Sea coast: the snow depth in Krasnaya Polyana reached 45 cm, Kordone Laura – 102 cm, in Goryachiy Klyuch – 112 cm, Gorny – 141 cm.
