Ford Puma: now it’s also electric

Puma Gen-e does not overturn the formula of the model which has already sold 140 thousand units in Italy with traditional engines, but adds an electric solution on the same five-seater design with bold sides and the downward trend of the roof, while the front changes with the arrival of a closed shield in place of the cooling grill. The effect is sober, the first close contact communicates good general quality of plastic coverings and finishes, while the additional space under the 80 liter loading floor, called Megabox on the other versions, here becomes the 145 liter Gigabox which brings the volume total at 574 litres. Puma Gen-e was born on the mechanical platform of the combustion engine version, even if it houses batteries with 43 kWh of useful capacity under the floor, with a 123.5 kW / 168 HP engine in the front bonnet. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds and reaches a speed of 160 per hour, but the real point lies in the efficiency of the system and the price. Puma Gen-E will be available in Italy starting from March with a price list starting from 32,950 euros, that is, not at all far from the 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid petrol variant with 155 HP with automatic transmission, which costs 31,500 euros.
