The film reconstructs Willy Monteiro’s crime on September 6, 2020 with almost chronological meticulousness.. The screenplay, taken from the novel by Federica Angeli, does not seek too many nuances: the “good” and “bad” are immediately clear.

But it is the direction of Vincenzo Alfieri, who uses a very mobile camera magnificently, that gives back the anger and aggression that simmers in kids and that seems to be just waiting for a pretext to explodeas happened in this case for a rude compliment (not even uttered by Monteiro, who instead paid for the color of his skin).

More than the dialogues (sometimes almost incomprehensible in their vehemence) it is the bodies and faces – and the way in which they are filmed – that convey a long-repressed dissatisfactionlooking for an excuse to vent.
Pure irrationality, violence as the only measure of one’s identitybut also a culture that does not know and does not want to recognize the other, where women are always the object (of possession, of boasting, of enjoyment), they are the springs that manage to move young people and that a group of new faces (Gheghi, De Vivo, Puccilli, Borello, among others) are able to convey in a credible and convincing way.
