It started with an extended Cadillac Fleetwood in the living room, but it soon got company from an English double -decker. This is half in the house and half outside, making it look like the bus has driven in. “In the beginning, the owners had some problems with the municipality,” says broker Geert Klaver. “Ultimately, that was resolved and everything was licensed under the name exhibition space. I think it is really a work of art in the polder.”
Adventurous buyers
For forty years, owners Frank and Irma Appel gathered all kinds of vehicles, creating a real theme park about transport. For example, the entrance to the yard is a railway crossing including warning lamps and harmonica fence. In the garden there are train and tram sets where you can also spend the night. “We are looking for a buyer who is adventurous and also has something with transport of course. You also have a B&B permit, so that offers a lot of possibilities. In addition, you naturally also buy a beautiful bell jar.”
