Peter Janssen from Vught, also known as Vegan Streaker, disrupted Eva Jinek’s broadcast on Thursday evening. Dressed only in black underpants, he stood next to Eva to draw attention to the animals.
Janssen appeared on screen early in the broadcast. Political commentator Joost Vullings was speaking. He talked about the news that GroenLinks-PvdA candidate Esmah Lahlah has put himself forward for mayor of Tilburg. The timing of her application coincided with her campaign for the House of Representatives elections.
“Whoa, someone’s coming,” says Vullings in the middle of his story when Janssen suddenly walks in. The streaker’s body read, among other things, ‘vote for the animals’ in large letters. “It’s always about people themes and I think it’s really important that we also talk about the animals,” said the streaker from Vught.
There were some irritated sighs throughout the studio. “They will definitely talk about your outfit,” said Eva Jinek when Janssen was soon taken away again. “They saw it.”
Requested attention before
Peter Janssen has tried to draw attention to animal rights in many ways. In 2008 he became famous when he appeared in a Paul de Leeuw broadcast wearing underpants.
In 2023 he disrupted a show at the Efteling attraction Raveleijn. He also spent months in jail for setting fire at a duck slaughterhouse in Ermelo.
