The result of the winter precipitation was that some of the flights at Schiphol were canceled and the KNMI issued a code yellow.
The code yellow warning started at 6 a.m. and was over at 11 a.m. The KNMI alerted road users to slippery conditions, but also warned of nuisance, traffic jams and poor visibility. The northern part of our province had slightly less snow than the southern part.
It did produce some beautiful pictures in Zaandam, Haarlem and Bergen aan Zee, among others.
