The German national soccer team crashed out of the World Cup in Qatar after the group stage. Now further grievances around the DFB team have been revealed.

After the 2-1 defeat against Japan, national coach Hansi Flick allowed the women and friends to stay with their men for two nights, according to “Bild”.

Internally, critical voices had increased, it said. Because: Not all DFB stars already had their families in Qatar. Those who only counted on the support of their relatives later in the tournament were “angry” about the early visit. The fact that a second night was allowed was too much, the tabloid claims to have heard from parts of the team.
Havertz smoothed the waves
In Kai Havertz, who had no visitors, a national player at least tried to smooth things over. For many of his teammates, “it’s a nice feeling to have children and women around.”
The national players’ relatives lived in Qatar in a separate hotel not far from the luxurious accommodation of the DFB selection in the very north of the World Cup host country directly on the coast of the Persian Gulf.
Despite the alleged grievances of the early World Cup elimination, national coach Hansi Flick remains in office. The DFB confirmed this on Wednesday.
