Jan Bednarek has just won the Portuguese championship with FC Porto. Now the Pole was the victim of an attack in his own home.
Polish international Jan Bednarek was apparently attacked in his own home. This is reported, among others, by the Portuguese newspaper “Correio da Manhã”. Accordingly, the incident occurred on Friday evening in Porto.
Bednarek returned to his apartment in the Foz district with his family – his wife and daughter – from dinner in a nearby restaurant. The 30-year-old surprised the burglars. As a result, he was apparently threatened with a stabbing weapon. The thieves are said to have managed to steal two Rolex watches. The value of the two luxury goods is said to be around 150,000 euros.
According to the report, the police were alerted and began investigating. However, there is said to have been no arrest yet. Bednarek and his family were not injured in the robbery.
The defender played in England for Southampton FC and Aston Villa between 2017 and 2025. Bednarek has been under contract with FC Porto since last summer. With the club he was crowned Portuguese champion just a few days ago.
