The young players of SV Enkhuizen and their guests from Hoorn, Grootebroek, Nibbixwoud and De Beemster, among others, play the lungs out of their bodies immediately after the whistle. “It cannot be described how nice this is. I absolutely want to become a professional later,” says one of the young players.
His teammate does not even think scoring is the most important thing. “I like giving a nice assist. Then you really belong to the team. You don’t achieve anything on your own. With a team it is always good,” he says.
Football party
Not only the youth enjoys the start of the competition, clubman Arie Rood is also beaming. He has been connected to the club for years, also for the merger from a few years ago. “It’s great that the football party starts again, because that’s it, a party. It’s very busy and cozy here. And that’s what it’s all about.”
