Football podcast | ‘It doesn’t sit well with dull AZ’ | Dutch football

Quick Boys’ almost cup stunt. Mourinho’s dismissal from AS Roma. Bababi’s procrastination at PSV. FC Twente’s tactics against PSV tonight and is Frank de Boer the right man for Ajax? Etienne Verhoeff discusses it with Leon ten Voorde and calls Rik Elfrink in the AD Voetbalpodcast.

“Things are not going well at AZ,” Ten Voorde notes after the Alkmaarders’ victory over Quick Boys on penalties. “I saw them on Saturday against FC Twente and AZ was one of the weakest teams I have seen in the Grolsch Veste. It was very dull. Completely resigned.”

There is another nice match scheduled for tonight in the KNVB Cup: PSV-FC Twente. “On December 21, Oosting had a surprising line-up against PSV in mind without Vlap and Rots. Now he wants to stick to the plan again and so I expect some changes in the line-up compared to Saturday.”

In Eindhoven there is still uncertainty about Bababi’s future. Ajax has informed, but PSV is still hoping for a contract extension, Rik Elfrink knows. “At PSV they think there is procrastination in the Bababi camp. He can develop well at PSV. But yes, there are many clubs that are competing for his signature.”
