The Norwegian national football team remains unbeaten in the Nations League thanks to Torgarant and double packer Erling Haaland.
In the second Scandinavian duel within a week, the team of former Cologne coach Stale Solbakken won Group B4 against Sweden 3-2 (1-0) on the fourth day of the match. In Oslo, Haaland, who will move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City, gave his team the lead with a header (10th minute).
After the break, the 21-year-old, who now has 20 goals in 21 international matches, increased the penalty kick after video evidence (54th). RB Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg (63′) shortened with a right-footed shot in the corner, Alexander Sörloth (77′) countered. Victor Gyökeres (90+5) managed to score the Swedish goal.
The Scandinavian rivals only met last Sunday – thanks to double packer Haaland with the better end for Norway. In the second leg, the goal-getter picked up where he left off in the away win in Solna. Norway maintains the lead in the table with the win. Sweden remains penultimate after three defeats from the first four games.
Cyprus lost 2-0 lead
In Group C2, Cyprus lost a 2-0 lead in Northern Ireland, the game ended 2-2 (0-1). Andronikos Kakouli (32’/51′) put the Cypriots ahead with a brace. Paddy McNair (71′) scored the goal before Johnny Evans (90’+4) equalized in added time.
North Macedonia made everything clear in Group C4 in a 4-0 (4-0) win against Gibraltar before the break. Georgia and Bulgaria drew 0-0.
