Football 3rd league: Pr. Münster vs. Duisburg – live ticker – 27th matchday – 2023/2024

  • 45.+3

    7:55 p.m

    Half-time conclusion:
A fast-paced encounter ends goalless in the catacombs. After a nerve-wracking initial phase in which Duisburg in particular caused a sensation and should have taken the lead thanks to Ginczek’s early chance in the second minute, the game tipped over little by little. An optical preponderance of SC Preußen Münster resulted in Bitter being sent off in the 26th minute. Since this sending off, the encounter became more open again and both teams often appeared in the opponent’s half. A lead goal was in the air on one side as well as on the other, but there were no really compelling goal area scenes. How long Duisburg can withstand the home team’s attack with ten men will be seen in the second round.

  • 45.+2

    7:49 p.m

    End of 1st half

  • 45.+2

    7:47 p.m

    Thorben Deters

Yellow card for Thorben Deters (Preußen Münster)

Lorenz and Mrowca play a short corner very poorly and lose the ball on the edge of the penalty area to MSV, who storms towards the opponent’s half with three attackers. Thorben Deters knocks Niklas Kölle over just before the halfway line and stops the attack.

  • 45.

    19:46

    Official injury time (minutes): 2

  • 44.

    19:46

Shortly before the break, Preußen Münster established themselves in the guests’ half. Cross after cross flies into the Zebras’ penalty area. However, still without resulting in a mandatory goal finish.

  • 43.

    19:44

    Sebastian Mrowca

Yellow card for Sebastian Mrowca (Preußen Münster)

Mrowca comes late for the second time against Michelbrink in the opponent’s half and is rightly shown a yellow card.

  • 41.

    19:42

The game is interrupted because guest striker Alexander Esswein is on the ground. After a short break for treatment, the fast attacker leaves the pitch with his supervisors and is allowed to return to the game shortly afterwards.

  • 38.

    19:41

A press shot from Santiago Castaneda in the penalty area with Schad gives the home team a corner. The guests are beside themselves and claim to have seen a clear goal kick. This would have been the right result, the Münster player had the ball last.

  • 35.

    7:37 p.m

The guests win most of the second balls and try again to find the massive Daniel Ginczek in the center with a high ball from the right side. Niko Koulis has so far given the beefy striker no chance in the aerial duel and clears the ball out of the danger zone with his head.

  • 32.

    19:34

As things stand, the Zebras are not allowing themselves to be influenced by being outnumbered and are circulating the ball through their own ranks. As a result, Preußen Münster will probably have more space in the remaining game time of this encounter.

  • 29.

    7:31 p.m

Thomas Pledl hits a corner into the back area, where Esswein tries a volley at the corner of the penalty area. His attempt is blocked in the six-yard box and Münster pushes it out of the box. How is MSV dealing with this early deficit?

  • 26.

    19:26

    Joshua Bitter

Red card for Joshua Bitter (MSV Duisburg)

Expulsion for the guests! A long shot from Lorenz’s back row is extended into Grodowski’s path by Batmaz’s heel. He gets the ball just before Ritter and is cleared hard by the last man Bitter. Referee Kampka rightly sees this as an emergency brake and immediately shows red!

  • 24.

    19:26

Duisburg plays the game very calmly in their own half. Shortly after crossing the halfway line, Jonas Michelbrink has problems handling the ball in the center, which is why the ball ends up back in the home team’s ranks.

  • 21.

    19:23

Münster repeatedly tries to get dangerously in front of the opponent’s goal through long throws. So far, the Zebras’ back team has not taken any responsibility.

  • 19.

    7:20 p.m

    Jonas Michelbrink

Yellow card for Jonas Michelbrink (MSV Duisburg)

Michelbrink came clearly too late with his tackle in the center circle against Deters and rightly received a warning.

  • 18.

    7:19 p.m

The encounter calmed down after a rapid initial phase. Both teams are now letting themselves go more and more and are no longer pressing with the same enthusiasm on offense.

  • 15.

    19:17

The guests join the game once again. Another long ball towards Esswein finds the attacker with number 40, who, like Deters, is in the forbidden zone shortly before. Dr. Robert Kampka rightly calls it offside.

  • 12.

    19:14

Suddenly the ball is in the net! After a nice move on the right side of the attack, Grodowski switches on in the center and puts the ball in the box to the free-standing Thorben Deters. He turns around his own axis and places the ball unchallenged into the right corner from a half-left position in the penalty area. The flag is immediately up, Deters was clearly offside!

  • 10.

    19:11

The home side have now taken control of the game and are hardly giving Duisburg any space to play their game. Grodowksi forces a corner on the right side, but it poses no danger and is cleared out of the penalty area towards the halfway line.

  • 7.

    7:08 p.m

The corner is cleared first, but immediately afterwards lands back in the feet of specialist Marc Lorenz. His cross shot finds a receiver in the middle, but his header is no problem for Vincent Müller in the MSV box.

  • 5.

    7:06 p.m

After the guests’ lively start, the hosts recovered and let the ball run through their own ranks. A first corner from the left comes out.

  • 2.

    7:04 p.m

Immediately a huge opportunity for MSV! A long strike from his own half slips through to Alexander Esswein on the right side of the attack, who asserts himself and enters the penalty area from the right side. Daniel Ginczek finds his cross pass into the six-yard box and the ball bounces in front of the empty goal. This must be the leadership!

  • 1.

    7:00 p.m

    Game start
The leather is rolling! Duisburg plays in the usual blue and white striped jerseys against Münster in green jerseys.

  • 18:57

The meeting will be led by Dr. Robert Kampka. Marcel Gasteier and Luca Marx assist him on the sidelines.

  • 6:39 p.m

After two away wins in the last ten days, Prussia coach Sascha Hildmann sees little reason for change and sends the same starting eleven from the last two games onto the field. In the usual 4-4-2 system, the Duisburg defense should be cracked and the jump to fourth place should be achieved.

  • 6:17 p.m

After two recent wins, guest coach Boris Schommers sees no reason to make any major changes to his first team. Only Castaneda returns after his suspension and plays in central midfield instead of Zenga. In the defensive 5-2-1-2 system, the two former Bundesliga strikers Esswein and Ginczek start at the top.

  • 6:08 p.m

SC Preußen Münster welcomes MSV Duisburg in the game this Friday evening. Although it doesn’t seem like it at first, the encounter brings with it a lot of explosiveness. The home side are currently in eighth place with 40 points, but can even move up to fourth place with a win. The guests travel to Münster with only 23 points and 18th place. However, a threesome today could push MSV up to 16th place ahead of Halleschen FC. So there should be a lot of excitement from both teams in this game.
