Waldhof Mannheim once again scored three points three days after the shooting festival against Essen at the away game against TSV Havelse and can slowly orientate itself upwards in the table.
The SV Waldhof Mannheim won 3: 2 (1: 0) at TSV Havelse on the ninth match day of the 3rd league at TSV Havelse and can slowly squint towards the top of the table with 13 points. Rising Havelse is in the penultimate place with four points.
Masca put the Mannheimers in the lead early (11th minute). After the break, striker Felix Lohkemper (58th) increased before Havelse came to the connection through John Posselt shortly afterwards (60th). Semi Belkahia marked the equalization (73.), but Nicklas Shipnoski shot the Waldhof to victory (74th).
Nijhuis saves the Waldhof from deficit
Mannheim started with no personnel compared to 6: 1 against red-white food. Both teams searched the way onto the offensive, so a lively encounter developed. Waldhof attacker Lohkemper offered the first good opportunity, who shot a bounced ball onto the post (9th). Immediately afterwards Masca set a header next to the gate.
On the other hand, Marko Ilic was suddenly completely free in front of the Mannheim Tor, but keeper Thijmen Nijhuis was able to secure the attacker’s lucle (10th). A few moments later it was 1-0 for the Waldhof. Masca used a remarkable attack over the left side after the back pass from Sascha Voelcke in the center.
The tour gave the guests security, while Havelse retired to their own half and lurked on counterattacks. Mannheim controlled the action, also played forward, but further goals no longer scored until the break whistle by referee Assad Nouhoum.
Lohkemper adds, Havelse counters
The first opportunity after the change again had Masca, but whose 24-meter free kick got stuck in the wall (47th). For a short time, Mannheim had the great opportunity to expand the lead. But Havelse’s goalkeeper Tom Opitz remained the winner in one-on-one with Lukas Klünter.
Little changed in the action: Mannheim made the game, Havelse tried to surprise the guests after winning the ball. However, the promoted team always lacked a safe passing game to be dangerous. After almost an hour, Lohkemper increased for the Mannheimers when he was humorously drog into the right corner from 16 meters.
Shipnoski scores the winning goal
However, nothing was decided, because only two minutes later the TSV was suddenly back in the game: Posselt picked up a shot from Julian Rufidis, turned and hit the right corner. Now there was a lot of steam in the game. And Havelse actually equalized: Nijhuis could still steer a header on the crossbar, but then Belkahia hit the empty goal.
And the guests? Was by no means shocked, just a minute later the substitute Shipnoski chased the ball from the edge of the box to the right angle – 3: 2. The lead almost was quickly playful when Nijhuis had played the ball under pressure in the feet of Florian Riedel. But Janne Sietan adjusted the misfortune in front of the line (76.).
Three minutes before the end, Nijhuis was again in focus, the Dutch had injured himself in the groin area and could not continue playing. He was replaced by Lucien Hawryluk in the last minutes. The replacement keeper kept his box clean until the final whistle. Shortly before, Havelses Noah Plume had seen the yellow-red card because of foul play.
