The Foo Fighters shared a post on their Instagram account on Wednesday (April 12) that they appear to be using to tease new music. The rockers accompanied a picture with the caption “do you think what I think?” with a 13-second snippet of a new song.

The Foo Fighters have not released new music since the tragic death of Taylor Hawkins, the band’s drummer; it’s been a year now. The group’s guitarist, Chris Shiflett, had made it public at the time that the Foo Fighters would release a new record when the time was right. This is now apparently the case. The band also announced that On tour again in summer 2023 to go. They even perform twice in Germany: on June 2nd Rock am Ring and on June 4th at rock in the park.

In September last year, while guesting on The Plug podcast, Shiflett stated that most people were respectful of the drummer’s death. “It’s probably going to be an issue if we ever put out another Foo Fighters record and go back to promo boogie-woogie,” he said. The Foo Fighters released nine studio albums with Taylor Hawkins on drums.
