Foeke Booy was never too much. The born Frisian lived his life with a top sports mentality. Always giving the maximum to get everything out of it, what was in it. Until a stroke in July last year turned his life upside down. Eight months later, Booy, who has been back to work full-time as technical director of SC Cambuur since the end of last year, looks back for the first time on the period behind him. “I saw a lot of misery in the rehabilitation center. I’m lucky that I came out so well.”
