Foden again talent of the year in Premier League

Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has been named Talent of the Year in the English Premier League. It is the second season in a row that Foden has received the award.

Foden was preferred over Trent Alexander-Arnold, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, among others. The choice is determined by a panel appointed by the Premier League and a vote of the public. “I am very proud to have won this award again. There is so much talent in the Premier League that it is an honor to be re-elected,” said Foden, who hopes to win the league title with Manchester City on Sunday. With a win over Aston Villa, coach Pep Guardiola’s team is champion. Any other result will depend on the result of Liverpool, who play at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Foden, 21, has scored nine goals and five assists in 27 league appearances.
