The staff of the FNV trade union wants the entire board to leave before Thursday. That was decided on Monday after an emergency consultation between a group of staff members. On Tuesday the rest of the FNV staff still have to approve the ultimatum. The board of the trade union wants to wait for this before it responds.
According to the staff of the trade union, the current board, with the head of chairman Tuur Elzinga, is unable to properly lead the trade union. There is an administrative conflict between vice -president Zakaria Boufangacha and other board members. Fidelity wrote last week That Boufangacha wants to participate in the elections for the chairmanship of the trade union, which will take place at the beginning of March.
Boufangacha, however, was previously investigated for cross -border behavior to a colleague. The vice -president reports that it concerns “fully invented accusations”, which may have been distributed to reduce his chances in the upcoming elections. Other board members, including chairman Elzinga, would do nothing to disprove the accusations.
Within the staff of the trade union, in addition to the administrative conflict, are also concerned about integrity and compliance with internal procedures. If the board did not start before Thursday, the trade union employees could take action against their own trade union.
