The Belgian army has a new toy since this week. The MQ-9B SkyGuardian is considered the Rolls-Royce under the drones: an unmanned aircraft that can stay in the air for up to 40 hours. Defense speaks of “a milestone”. In the first place, the army wants to use the drones for exploration and espionage. But according to army expert Luc De Vos, it is a matter of time before they fly around armed. “That is written in the stars.”
