At the Fluvia fire brigade zone you normally paid 180 euros, but the zone is now adjusting its rates. “There is free service for citizens in the event of storms and flooding,” said Olivier Dorme, zone commander of the Fluvia fire brigade.
“Unless there is poor maintenance, then an invoice can still be sent. In practice, it was established that we already did many of those interventions for free, but that still had to be listed and evaluated by the zone council. But now this has been made structural.”
The Fluvia Fire Department now also intervenes free of charge in the event of urgent storm damage, unless, of course, a fallen tree in your garden does not pose an immediate danger. The fire brigade does not charge anything for extinguishing a fire in your home. The zone does make other things more expensive: coming to rescue your pet, for example, can cost you up to 226 euros.
