Although we traditionally see an increase in the number of flu infections in our country during this time of the year, there is currently no real upsurge. “A flu virus is already being isolated here and there, just like in other countries, but all in all not that much,” says virologist and flu commissioner Marc Van Ranst. He warns that this could still change, “depending on the measures that we follow”.
