2021 with Italy European champion

Alessandro Florenzi ended his professional career at the age of 34. The right -back announced this on his social networks. The Italian played for five clubs during his career, most of the games for AS Rome with 280, followed by AC Milan with 77, with which he was last under contract. With the Rossoneri he became champion in 2021/22.
The highlight at the national team level was the European Championship 2021, in which the Squadra Azzurra crowned itself as European champion. Florentzi was used at the start and in the final, in between he had to suspend because of a calf injury. It had its highest market value in 2018 with 30 million euros. Florentzi thanked all fans, with every teammate, trainer, employee and manager. “Every day after day, your support and professionalism helped me to grow as a person and as a footballer,” he wrote and at the end: “My friend, today we say goodbye, but you will always stay part of me.”
