The German car group Volkswagen has to shut down an important factory in Portugal for a few weeks due to a shortage of parts. This is the result of the severe flooding in Slovenia. Recent rains hit an engine parts supplier hard, disrupting production, says a memo to about 5,000 VW employees in Portugal.
