A Flemish girl (12) had to brave a wild Adriatic Sea on Wednesday for almost an hour, swimming on hundreds of meters off the coast of Italy. An unexpected wave dragged her into the water when she played with her father on a terrace. “I still wanted to say that they were in a dangerous place, but the wave was earlier,” says eyewitness Giuseppe Netti (47), who instructed the emergency services from his home with binoculars.
