Andres Iniesta, who is in Barcelona’s golden generation, praised his former teammate Lionel Messi. Speaking to TYC Sports, the Spanish star said that Messi could return to Barcelona.
Iniesta said: “Leo’s past and present are completely different. He is number one. All he does is grow, improve and make the best of his teammates. A team with Messi has a huge advantage to win a championship. I have never seen anyone else who can do what he did. “Coming back to Barcelona is not easy, but Leo can. It’s always a possibility.”
Sharing his views on the 2022 World Cup to be held in Qatar, Iniesta said: “Argentina is one of the favorites of the World Cup. It is a big team with young and experienced players. If Messi is there, of course he is one of the favourites. My other favorite teams are Brazil, Spain and France. … If Messi wins the World Cup, I will be very happy as a teammate.”
