Flanders turns off the lights tonight: almost 80 activities around light pollution during Night of Darkness

Tonight and night there are almost eighty events in Flemish cities and municipalities to celebrate the Night of Darkness. This raises the issue of light pollution in our country every year. At least fourteen cities and municipalities are turning off street lights to enhance the night sky.
