The Flemish government is pumping more than 16 million euros into a large-scale study into Alzheimer’s disease. The so-called Flemish Cognitive Compass is taking place among 5,000 people over the age of fifty and should help detect the biological changes that occur in the brain as a result of the disease, reports Flemish Prime Minister Matthias Diependaele (N-VA).
