A major fire broke out in a house on Langeweg in Haaren on Sunday evening. Plumes of smoke can be seen in the distance and there are many fire brigades on the scene. The flames are shooting out of the roof.
The resident discovered the fire when he came home and stood on the street waiting for the fire to go outs. Not much will be left of the house after the fire is extinguished.
Corps from Haaren, Helvoirt, Oisterwijk and Den Bosch took action with all their might. The police have advised local residents to keep the windows and doors of their homes closed.
Despite the late hour, the fire attracted a lot of attention. About thirty local residents came to the house to see with their own eyes what the fire was doing.
Electric blanket
At a quarter to eleven, the fire in Haaren seemed to be under control. But the house is lost. The roof of the house completely collapsed due to the fire.
Nothing is yet certain about the cause of the fire. It allegedly involved an electric blanket that caught fire on a couch.
