The West Flanders public prosecutor’s office has started a judicial investigation into the shooting incident. Five suspects will appear before the investigating judge in Veurne today. One of them is a 24-year-old man from Koekelare. He is suspected of attempted murder.
Four other suspects – two men aged 28 and 31 and two women aged 34 and 35 – are being brought to trial on suspicion of unlawfully entering a
occupied premises with the aid of threats or violence, being part of an association, culpable negligence and the possession, purchase and transport of substances without a permit.
The investigation into the circumstances of the incident continues under the direction of the investigating judge.
