Five skiers killed by avalanche in French Alps, four of them were students

Five skiers died in two separate avalanches in the French Alps on Wednesday. Local officials confirm that. Four Norwegian students died after an avalanche dragged them through a flood of snow and ice outside the slope in Val-Cenis, in the southeast of the Savoie. A Swiss skier died due to another avalanche in Haute-Savoie, near Chamonix.
