“Suddenly a French fisherman wanted to sell whelks here. So it runs like clockwork. Those whelks have found their place here,” Vandecasteele explains.
The larger supply does not translate into turnover figures. At 1.63 million euros, this is even 40,000 euros lower than in 2023.
